Aluminium oxide is the abrasive paper of choice used by trade professionals in preference to sandpaper. The aluminium oxide grains are more durable, have a self-sharpening action and clog less, giving high performance sanding that outlasts sandpaper by up to 10 times. It is ideal both for hand sanding - with or without a sanding block - and machine sanding. Ideal for sanding contoured or shaped surfaces, as well as being easy to cut for power tool use. For final sanding prior to applying a first coat of paint or varnish to wood, smoothing surface imperfections, removing texture on plaster and fillers and removing water stains on wood. Not suitable for removing paint or varnish.
