Type P hexagonal nylon nut with a metric thread. Also known as locking nuts, designed to prevent the nut from loosening. Used for all bolting and fastening applications. These nuts act similarly to those with a nylon insert but without the nylon ring. They deform slightly on fitting to lock in place but can be used in higher temperature applications.
