Issey Miyake uses very unusual and rare materials in order to create perfumes that evoke the intellect of timeless freedom and tranquillity. L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme was created as a universal Eau de Toilette that is perfect for all occasions. L'Eau d'Issey for Men is a woody and aquatic fragrance with yuzu as in top notes, along with notes of bergamot, lemon and tarragon. The centre of the fragrance is spicy and woody with notes of nutmeg and water lily which are an exciting and unanticipated accord in this composition. An end note carries an intense woody scent which is sharp and enriched with tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and musk. It was created by Jacques Cavallier back in 1994. There are two editions that arrive in new casings but with the same perfume, these were introduced in 2009 L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme and L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense. The colours of the perfume casings are light grey and dark grey colour of asphalt make an impression of a union of water and concrete. Issey Miyake is a Japanese style designer known for his inventions with fabric and his use of technology to produce interesting and practical garments. Miyake was born in Hiroshima in 1938, and was a witness and survivor of the atomic bombing of the city during World War II. After learning graphic design at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Miyake went on to work for some of the most famous couturiers of the 1960s. A move to Paris led to work for Guy Laroche and Givenchy. Another move to New York brought the occasion to design ready-to-wear for Geoffrey Beene. Miyake returned to Tokyo in 1970, founded the Miyake Design Studio and began producing women's fashions.
