Product Description

Cupuacu butter is harvested from the fruits of the Theobroma grandiflorum tree which grows wild in the Amazon forest of Brazil. The butter is used as an alternative to cocoa and also to shea butter as it has a unique ability to retain water which is better than that of lanolin. It therefore helps skin and hair to retain moisture thereby improving elasticity. Studies have shown that cupuacu butter may offer skin and hair broad spectrum UV-A and UV-B protection. Because the butter is very high in phytosterols and essential fatty acids it can be used to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis as well as mature and very dry skin. Used as a hair conditioner cupuacu butter repairs dry, brittle and damaged hair with regular use.

Key Features

  • High in plant sterols.
