There are certain things we all know we shouldn’t do whilst driving, but sometimes we just can’t help ourselves.

1. Text
When your phone bleeps, we all know how tempting it is to reach over and read a text. But this is the worst thing you can do whilst driving.
2. Do your make-up
Many women confess to doing their make-up whilst driving, thinking it can’t harm when driving at a snails pace or when stuck in traffic to do their mascara or top up their blusher. But even when you are in a stand still, your car may roll forward without you noticing or a car may back into you.
3. Change the music
We all change the music whilst driving but even taking your eyes off the road for a second could potentially be fatal. You never know how badly someone else is driving close by! Ask your passenger to change the music for you or when driving alone, just decide on the radio station before you set off.
4. Zone out
It’s easy to let yourself zone out during familiar routes and long journeys but zoning out can make you less in sync with what’s happening on the road.
5. Let yourself drive tired
We can’t help it if we have to drive when we are tired, but tiredness is one of the leading causes for crashes and one of the worst things you can do whilst driving.
Just make sure you open the windows so the car doesn’t get warm, which will enhance your sleepiness. If you get too tired, then take a break or ask someone else if they can drive.
