Highly efficient and versatile bamboo steamer that can be used for steam
cooking vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, fish, dumplings, etc. Manufactured
to catering quality standards, it is stiffer than steel and has a surface harder
than fibreglass. The cooking platforms are firm and solid and the bamboo pinning
and woven fibres allow for expansion and movement during steaming, preventing
any splitting. The tiers can be used together or separately, as required, and
the close fitting bamboo lid absorbs the steam to prevent it from condensing and
dripping on to the cooking food. It's also energy saving, as you can steam
different foods together without a crossing of flavours and they keep their
texture, colour and subtle flavours more than in any other technique.
